PEFFERLAW AREA
Station Road & Pefferlaw Road:
Quite a few reports of phantom trains have been received in the area of Station Road and Pefferlaw Road – coupled with reports of loud horse’s hooves pounding on pavement. Signs of a road well travelled? Perhaps! One report of a phantom train was received from a very nice, very quiet lady in her late 40’s who had moved to the area in the early 2000’s, and was coming home from a late night office party in Toronto. It had been a long drive, and she was nearing her home, but still had to cross the tracks at Station Road. She cannot explain why, but she felt the need to stop at the tracks – even though there was no train coming at that hour (approx. 1:30 a.m.). The road was quiet, and it was a mild autumn evening, so her driver’s side window was down. She stopped the car in front of the tracks and immediately felt the car move from side to side – as if a large object, a train, were speeding along the tracks in front of it. There was even a quick gust of a breeze which took her by surprise, considering that there was no visible train. There did not appear to be the sound of a train either – just the feeling of a train. The entire experience spooked her so badly that she told us she rolled up her window and hit the gas, and sped home only to run through the front door and bolt it tightly from the inside, heart racing!! Have you seen the phantom train? Perhaps you have just heard it or experienced it in some way? |
Pefferlaw Road & Lakeridge Road:
We have had a report of what can only be described as a phantom hitchhiker near this intersection. A male with a backpack apparently tries to hitch a ride. When the driver stops the car, there is absolutely no one there. No one. That’s a little unnerving at midnight! Have you experienced something similar? |
