April 2015
Bob Mowers left us on February 2, 2015.
That was a difficult line to write. Bob was such a vital part of The Georgina Paranormal Society and of its formation in 2012 - and he will always be here with us even if only in spirit. We like to think that in some way he is watching us from "out there", perhaps even helping us in our investigative processes, and even jiggering with our instrumentation just to "trip us up a little" for fun.
Bob was amazing. His incredible positivity, his level-headedness in all situations, his unrelenting sense of humour -- we miss him so much. He was always willing to come out on our fact-finding missions, taking pictures at various purportedly haunted locations, sharing stories of his own ghostly experiences, and was always a reliable and friendly companion. He was my "sidekick" at our "One Dark NIght" presentations every year and at our "Georgina LIfe" television spots. Comfortable in front of people, Bob's energy and vitality were key elements in every investigation and presentation that we undertook. People loved his energy and his stories, and no one could do a flashlight "yes/no" response session like Bob! Spirits loved him - energy was drawn to him like a moth to a flame! Bob was a bright light, a strong supporter, a soft shoulder, a vibrant storyteller, a great friend.
Bob was a pleasure to know, a pleasure to work with, and a truly wonderful person. We can still feel his energy around us like a big hug. Thanks, Bob, for everything.
